Catalytic reforming of tar model compound over La1-xSrx-Co0.5Ti0.5O3-? dual perovskite catalysts: Resistance to sulfide and chloride compounds

Abstract Sr-containing La1.0-Co0.5Ti0.5O3 as dual perovskite materials were investigated for the steam reforming of toluene (SRT) reaction. The impact Sr-doping on tolerance towards tar contaminants (chloride & H2S) SRT reaction was also studied. Overall, an optimum catalyst composition La0.8Sr0.2-Co0.5Ti0.5O3 gave superior activity than others. At 700 °C (S/C = 2), exhibited ? 90 % conversion and stable 21 h. displayed 80 65 in presence 0.1 1% trichloroethylene (TCE) at °C. XRD analysis revealed formation structures calcined Sr doped negligible Co agglomeration during TGA that carbon insignificant Finally, catalytic performance over others is attributed to availability surface species (H2 chemisorption), mobile O2 species, basic character.
